The German govt’s decision to provide free face masks for everyone over 60 has left taxpayers with a bill for $2.98 billion – after the Health Ministry ENORMOUSLY OVERCOMPENSATED pharmacies!
The govt scheme paid pharmacies €6 per mask when the actual wholesale cost was approximately €1, according to reports.
German MP Karl Lauterbach commented: “It would probably have been easier to send masks to all people – it would hardly be any more expensive.”
