I woke up one morning and my hands and feet were tingling. I didn’t think much of it. I thought my hands and feet were asleep. But then it happened again the next day. It lasted until the afternoon. That’s when I knew that something was seriously wrong with me.

I had to go to the doctor and choose a sports doctor. I described my symptoms and then she said I had to take some medication and I said I don’t believe in medication. I went back to my office and she called me and said I think you have multiple sclerosis. He referred me to a neurologist. I cried a lot when I was I was told my diagnosis. Then I told my fiancee what was wrong with me and he held me.

I went to the neurologist and she humored me with my reluctance to accept my disease. There were “only” two M serious diseases I knew as a child, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis . I don’t believe in the word “victim”. I prefer the word “survivor” and I believe I was a survivor of aspartame. I think there must have been someone in the upper echelon of Monsanto who knew that aspartame would harm people. They made so much money they knew they had to sell it before it became too controversial.

It happened like this. One day I received a call from Cori and she described the years she spent in a wheelchair drinking diet soda. In this documentary you hear the top experts, the physicians, the scientists and attorney James Turner who just died. Turner workedd with the famed Dr. John Olney who tried to prevent approval of aspartame. It’s an open and shut case. St Jude hospital is full of babies and children who are victims of aspartame. The aspartame molecule breaks down into diketopiperazine, a brain tumor agent. Terry Riggs who worked for the sons of G. D. Searle who pushed it and used it both died he said of these highly malignant glioblastomas. He mentioned further “they” tried to cover up their death but couldn’t. It wasn’t an easy death. FDA scientist, Dr. Adrian Gross told the Senate on 8/1/1985 that aspartame was on the market illegally because it violated the Delaney Clause which says you can’t add anything that causes cancer, and aspartame caused brain tumors and brain cancer. Actually it caused other cancers as well and Dr. Morando Soffritti in the Ramazzini Studies proved once and for all that aspartame is a multipotential carcinogen. His last words were “And if the FDA violates its own laws who is left to protect the public?”

In 1995 I lectured for the World Environmental Conference. Then I was on a list of neurologists and got in a discussion about Multiple Sclerosis and because of aspartame it was
epidemic. Some didn’t want to believe it so Dr. Russell Blaylock, neurosurgeon, wrote a letter about it. Then Dr. H. J. Roberts wrote a Position Paper on Aspartame Disease or MS? Still there was controversy and finally I said, “I just lectured for the World Environmental Conference and Dr. Clarice Gaylord of the EPA said, “We have an epidemic of MS and lupus and cannot identify the toxin.” I stood up and raised my hand and said, “I’m Betty Martini of Mission Possible and I’m here to lecture on MS and lupus and identify the toxin as NutraSweet.”

After the keynote address all lecturers when to their rooms and mine was packed. As I read the FDA report of 92 symptoms people were standing up and saying “I’ve got it, I’ve got it.” When Dr. James Bowen said the world was mass poisoned it was obvious just from the amount of people I spoke with the poisoning was everywhere. One man with thick glasses asked me was this why he was going blind and I said, “no doubt, but if your vision is in the wet stage it can return.” A dozen roses arrived months later with the note, “my vision has returned”.

This did not change the argumentation going on in the neurologist group. Finally I said, “In lecturing for the World Environmental Conference let me tell you what else aspartame is responsible for, and I began to list a great deal of symptoms and diseases. This was added

David died from aspartame, his last words to me were “this woman has lupus, save her,” and then he was gone.
