POSSIBILITY OF UNDERCOVER POLICE INFILTRATION AT MEETUP LOCATIONS
It has been brought to our attention that there *may* be undercover police trying to infiltrate our picnic groups today by wearing white wrist bands.
The information is unverified so we will not share to our channels (we all need to be discerning about possible decoy information).
We wish to advise people not to be alarmed. It is a very real possibility that our meetup groups may be infiltrated by undercovers' to gather intelligence. It is not a new tactic, police have done this with most activist movements. Trust your gut, learn how to distinguish what is paranoia and what is a legitimate intuitive message. If something feels off about someone, it's likely it is. Trust that inner voice over your overactive analytical mind or you will begin to be suspicious of everyone. A healthy amount of suspicion isn't a bad thing in these times, so be on guard, but don't let it spoil your fun or stop you from making real connections with people who feel right for you.
Organizer's are taking steps to ensure that the risk of intelligence leaks that come with infiltration will be limited. if there is a rat in any group, it will soon be obvious. More strategizing is needed though. Bear with them.
Do not be afraid of cops infiltrating for arrest purposes. You are having a picnic in your 10km zone. The worst that can happen is they detain and fine you for being in a group of more than 5 or ask to check your vax status (LMFAO... can't wait to see that).
We don't think we will be seeing the riot squad today. And if we do, well the laugh will be on them!
