If you are trading, holding or swapping Crypto Do NOT use Company Computers or Public Computers as these may allow admins to watch what you are doing. For your own safety you should use devices which are only used for this purpose. Do not mix, use the devices you store, trade or swap crypto with. Never hold crypto on an exchange longer than needed and always store your assets on a cold hardware wallet encased inside another hardware wallet called a vault. This stops hackers from retrieving or cracking your seed phase and removing your assets. Encapsulation is actually Multi Sync but some vaults allow you to encapsulate your entire hardware wallets. Check out BC Vault and Ledger together they make for great security.
Best Practices:
- Use a Unix OS on a box that has no other software other than what comes with the linux distro you select.
- Use a 2nd Cell Phone that is factory reset and clean and for nothing else.
- Get a 2nd PC for Crypto and keep it off your everyday computer.
- Store Seed Phases away from prying eyes and never on a device with internet access.
- Remember once it is gone there is no recovery, so take preventive steps to safeguard your assets. It only needs to happen once, think of your checking account or savings account being wiped out..
