Although the majority of human beings have actually continued it either through apathy, complacency, and participation... Both direct and indirect. In today's world, is direct via the military industrial complex and being a soldier in it... Meaning one that sold themselves to be a human killer instead of a human being. Or indirectly via taxation to support it and pledge and allegiance to a bunch of idiotic flags.
The US flag when flown horizontally was called the battle standard, and when suspended vertically where the stripes run from the ground to heaven.. it's a symbol of parley and peace.
